1. Condition of Retired Products
a) ‘Discontinued Lemax’ list classic Lemax miniature village buildings and figurines that are sourced from resellers and other suppliers from around Australia and overseas. Newly retired products are in perfect condition sourced directly from Lemax resellers. Some older retired Lemax products may have been sitting on shelves for a long time, or have been ex-display models. Due to their age, some products will come with outer packaging showing signs of wear and tear, or in some cases products will come without the original Lemax box (common with end-of-run Lemax products once marked for retirement).
Any obvious marks, wear or tare will be identified on the product page.
b) Older products sourced from overseas may come with a light bulb and international power adapter. Most often we will exchange this for a modern moonlander bulb. In some cases where the Moonlander bulb does not fit the piece, we will supply the older style Lemax bulb with an Australian power adapter.
c) Some retired products are “pre-loved” or “ex-display” stock that is otherwise in “new” or “near-new” condition. These items may show evidence of age or handling. In most cases, any marks can be gently cleaned with warm soapy water. “Pre-Loved” items will be labelled as so on the product page.
d) Customers purchasing pre-loved retired products should assume reasonable signs of age on their purchase.
e) We try to list all retired products in “new” condition with all original packaging. Any variation to this will be identified on the product page. Products acquired as “pre-loved” will be identified as so.
f) Please note that Lemax items that have been retired are no longer being produced and replacement parts are not available. Lemax consider merchandise purchased on clearance to be considered “as is” merchandise. Furthmore, Lemax does not warrant that the quality of any product purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that they would be free of any errors. Online Avenue Holdings Pty Ltd adhere to this same policy in relation to expectations around appearance, colour, or percieved production errors.
2. Products shipped from overseas
a) Products shipped from overseas are products sourced from official and unofficial suppliers outside of Australia. These include distributors, resellers, private sellers, and other businesses.
b) While we have taken measures to ensure, to the best of our ability, that products listed as, or inferred to as ‘Lemax’ are genuine, we cannot guarantee their authenticity.
Our efforts include, but not limited to:
- scrutiny of images provided by the supplier of the product compared to images provided at www.lemaxcollection.com
- assurances from overseas suppliers
- physical inspection of the item for quality workmanship consistent with our expectation of the Lemax brand. Subject to the provisions of item 1(f).
c) Due to factors beyond our control, we cannot make an absolute guarantee of authenticity for any product advertised as “Lemax” that is sourced through overseas suppliers.
d) If a product arrives from overseas as damaged, or not a reasonable representation of the original product, we will contact you to discuss options (including, but not limited to, a full or partial refund).
e) If a product ordered becomes unavailable, and cannot be sourced elsewhere, the customer will be notified and refunded.
f) By purchasing these products, you acknowledge and accept these conditions.
3. Shipping and Delivery
Returns and Refunds
a) Some of our products come from Australian suppliers, and others come from overseas sources. Depending on where your item is despatched from we may use Australia Post, or other couriers and shipping companies as required.
b) We aim to process your order as quickly as possible, and unless it is a custom product, orders are usually dispatched within 1-2 business days.
c) Items ‘shipped from Australia‘ will be sent via courier or parcel post (3-5 business days).
d) Items ‘shipped from overseas‘ are received first to our office for quality checking, then dispatched quickly to the customer. This may incur delivery times of up to 21 days depending on supplier availability and the carrier used; or the time taken for the quality control process.
e) Offers of refund or replacement will be on a case-by-case basis, and at the sole discretion of Online Avenue Holdings Pty Ltd.
f) We cannot guarantee these delivery times, as these are dependent on external factors such as carrier delays and weather conditions. However, we will do everything we can to ensure that your order is delivered as quickly as possible.
g) Free delivery for orders over $350. Spend $350 or more in one transaction and we will award free shipping (metro areas only). This offering is not available to regional or remote postcodes. Postcodes are categorised based on carrier rates, and their assignment is at the discretion of Discontinued Lemax.
g) We offer refunds, repairs and replacements in accordance with Australian Consumer Law and on the terms set out in our “Refund Policy” available for download below, and include but are not limited to the following points.
- Cancellation and change of mind
We do not offer refund if you change your mind, or find the same product or service cheaper elsewhere.
- A true representation
We will offer a refund if the product is not a reasonable and true representation of the description and image provided for the product at www.discontinuedlemax.com.au. We will not offer a refund for discrepancies or perceived or actual production errors when comparing to images displayed on other websites (including lemaxcollection.com)
- Products damaged during delivery
In the event that you receive a product that has been damaged during delivery, please contact us immediately.
Any damaged product must be returned in the condition in which it was received, together with any packaging and other items which you received with the damaged product.
h) Eligible claims of a damaged or faulty product will be processed, provided that you have contacted us within 7 days from the date of receiving the product, supplying proof of purchase, and photographic evidence of the damage or issue you wish to claim.
